With the beginning of a computer age in the world in 1980s of the 20th century, computers made a great step forward in the technological development.
Most of us experienced the transition from the computers that could only support the simplest games with a poor graphic towards more efficient models.
The early models were supplied with the preinstalled Windows 95 operating system (if we are talking about Microsoft, of course).
There was a small number of qualitative games that could be played on such computers and they were mostly intended for an office and homework, including typing, working with Microsoft office applications. Etc.
With the appearance of Windows 98 and more enhanced and powerful processors and video accelerators, gaming designers got a perfect base for production of games that could be played by millions. People abandoned their TV games attachments and began to buy computers for their homes to have a great time, entertaining the whole family. This process was taking place in the middle of 1990s and it marked the era of cutting-edge technologies.
It was 1994 when the first volume of the world’s most popular massive multiplayer on-line role-playing game was released. It was called World of Warcraft and this name was fated to become the most recognizable name in computer gaming world ever.
The greatest thing about Warcraft lied in the capability of it to support up to ten people on one and the same gaming server. Any dedicated WoW player would probably be grinning now, when reading these lines, but for that time, it was a real achievement.
As soon as Warcraft creators got the tremendous popularity of the game, they got down to work on the second and the third parts of Warcraft that were released before 2000. It became more and more obvious that WoW players wanted to have the continuation for the game they loved so much and Blizzard Entertainment made up the brand new game named World of Warcraft.
The game was nothing but a new version of previous parts gathered. The new requirements dictated by the time and the computing progress were taken into account, which is why the graphics and the quality of the game are just perfect.
However, the greatest achievement lied in the on-line accessibility of the game. Times when only up to 10 people could play on the same WoW server have gone and new servers were able to support up to several thousand players! It was an unprecedented release and it excited players and rival gaming companies all over the world.
Hundreds of RPG games have appeared since then, but no one can duplicate the success of the World of Warcraft – the best RPG game of all times!
If you plan to buy WoW accounts – beware, you can get screwed. Find out how to choose WoW accounts that are really worth the price and where to get the best WoW accounts.
