Fishville Strategy: An in-depth guide for beginners
You’ve seen the invites from friends for Zynga’s newest Facebook game, Fishville. It’s growing in popularity and gaining hundreds of users by the day. Don’t miss out on the fun your friends are having – start playing Fishville today!
It’s easy to get started. Even if you’ve never seen the game before, you can start playing in a matter of minutes. Here are some tips for beginners you’ll need to know to get started. Take a few minutes to look through them now – you’ll save a lot of time in the end:
Create your tank
The first thing you’ll need to do after downloading the app is to create your tank. It literally takes just one click. Your first tank will have 2-3 fish in it that you can eventually sell. Click on the “sell” tool and select the junior fish in your tank. When you sell this, you can use the coins you earned to purchase additional fish eggs.
The main thing to keep in mind: The longer you let fish grow, the more coins and XP you’ll earn when you sell them.
To buy more fish, click on “Store,” and select the kind of fish you want. Fishville will show you stats before you purchase it, including how much it costs, how much XP you gain, and how much you can sell it for.
Take care of your fish
This may seem like a simple rule of thumb, but it takes some planning. As I mentioned above, when you purchase fish, it tells you how long they take to grow. This also helps in knowing how soon and often they’ll need to be fed. If you forget to feed your fish when they’re hungry, they’ll get too old and die. Then, you’ll miss out on the coins you could’ve earned by selling them.
You can plan this by knowing how much time you’ll have to devote to the game. If you can only spend an hour playing each day, it’s best to buy fish that take a longer time to grow – you won’t need to feed them as often and they’re not as “high-maintenance.”
You can also “Give Fish Love” to keep them happy. This button will appear in the bottom of your screen at random times – usually at least once a day. When you “love” your fish, you’ll earn coins. The more well-fed and happy fish you have, the more coins you’ll earn.
Add neighbors
Neighbors are a key thing as you’re starting out the game. Unless you have a lot of coins, you can’t unlock future tanks until you have at least 8 neighbors. So, start adding neighbors and you’ll go further in the game. Click on the “Invite Friends” tab at the top. After you have neighbors, you’ll be asked to help out with tank problems – and, you can send them free gifts. Each of these things will help you gain XP.
Move up the levels
As soon as you have the basics down, you’ll be able to move up the Fishville levels in no time. After Level 4 your tank will be expanded to hold more fish, which means you can raise more and earn even more coins and XP.
One last note – I’ve noticed that certain web browsers run slow when I’m playing Fishville. The best one I’ve found to use is Google Chrome. If you don’t have this, I recommend downloading it – or, if you use a different browser, just make sure you don’t have too many things running at once.
