There is no doubt that there are a lot of movies that are quite dull because not much happens in them. Nowadays Hollywood produces a huge amount of films that can be considered as crap. However, I am a big fan of small movies that are not aimed at impressing me. Usually in such films a boy does not have to get the girl and after to get the tension he has to screw it up. I prefer watching movies where nothing happens. Some things happen but not a lot of them. Unfortunately, I was not lucky enough to watch a lot of them and have a short list of movies like that. The most famous among them is film by Sophia Coppola “Lost In Translation”.
A lot of such films are beloved by the fans of Bill Murray. One of the most popular films is “Famous Actor”. In that film the main hero faces a lot of different questions and tries to answer them. He also goes to Tokyo and meets there a wife of very famous photographer. The wife is featured by Scarlet Johannson. An outstanding job is done by her. She sees husband rarely because he is very busy all the time. What is more, he also has random meetings with American actress. When main hero and photographer’s wife meet they come up with a decision to have a small walk and a conversation. They sing karaoke and just enjoy the time together, but they do not hook up, nobody dies and nobody gets pregnant. I would even say that this film is much closer to reality than the majority of the films that are shot in the Hollywood.
I like that kind of films because they make me think about simple things in our life we usually do not pay much attention too. Even though the heroes do not hook up the movie is still romantic and full of sense. Such films are not so simple because usually the main thought is not on the surface and to get the message it is necessary to read between the lines. Such films are created to make us understand how necessary sometimes to pay attention to the things we usually just do not notice. Even though we do not have a possibility to enjoy big amount of such films we are lucky to watch a couple of really great ones. Fortunately, every viewer can find film he really likes.
Who would object that movies have become an unalienable part of our life and culture. Up to date there has been produced a great quantity of films and it has caused appearance of new movie review. Nowadays start of the best independent films showing in cinemas is made a big event.
