I recall my first video game gun- The NES Zapper. I liked the “click” it made every single time I squeezed the trigger- the closest it came to in terms of realistic attributes. Boy, how the times have changed. Nowadays we have the Wiimote, the Kinect, and a ps3 gun The Sharpshooter. Even Sony has jumped onboard the peripheral market bandwagon. Certainly, there has been a recent flood of third-party ps3 move guns but this is the ps3 move gun. Apart from the move shooter attachment (a pistol attachment), this is the only official rifle attachment for the ps3 move.
It really is without a doubt the very best gun attachment for any home video game console on the market. The feeling is sort of like wielding an MP5. Even the vibration of the move controller feels like recoil. The reload is kind of like a real reload, you hit the bottom of your magazine to jam it in. So, essentially you’ll hit that with your hand like you are locking in the clip in case you wish to feel like a badass. There are also different reload choices just in case] you don’t like that one: you tilt the gun left or right, or you can pump-action it (like a shotgun). The navigation controller (the part with the analog stick) works surprisingly well. I imagined I might have an incredibly difficult time running around in Killzone, but it is like using a controller, because I use my left thumb on the stick anyways, the feeling is the same (on top of that, it incorporates a left-handed option).
It is just an awesome accessory all around. It seriously brings an intense arcade experience to your home. The one thing that sort of sucks (or that could possibly be good for some people) is the fact that you are not able to play for hours on end. Your arms will just be too tired. I guess it forces you to take breaks that way. Could it be Sony’s master plan to help kids get exercise. Will we ever uncover? What I do know for sure is what is ridiculously exciting- playing with the Sharpshooter. One thing I would recommend though is to get Socom 4: U.S. Navy Seal Full Deployment Edition. It comes with the full move bundle, the game, and the Sharpshooter. It is really the best deal out there currently for the move. The move deal alone (move wand, the eyetoy, and Sports Champions) costs $100, and the navigation controller (the second part, with the analog stick) is another $30. Total is $130. The Socom 4: U.S. Navy Seals Full Deployment Edition is $150, so it really is worth it. As a bonus, the game is really enjoyable as hell with the gun.
