I think you should get out there and see the new releases as soon as possible. Some of the big blockbusters are quite mind blowing and are setting new standards. I think there is also going to be a growing trend towards more specialist small budget movies from independant studios that are going to be worth a look too.
At last something is at the movies that is worth watching. I think a lot of last years movies were good but towards the end some of the bigger blockbusters were a bit of a let down. I am looking forward to this year though because I think we are in for a few surprises especially from smaller studios.
I never thought Burton could make another film as hopelessly bland as Planet of the Apes but here it is. Save your money and either watch one of his early classics or simply watch the 1951 Disney classic again: It’s shorter, it’s funnier, and it’s infinitely trippier.
