FINDING NEMO (2003)
(G; ok for kids 3+).When his son, Nemo is taken from him by a diver, Marlin the clown fish sets off on a journey to rescue him. Together with Dory, a blue tang fish with short term memory loss, they set off through the oceans, whilst joining a club with sharks, dodging jellyfish and hooking a ride with turtles. Whilst this is happening, Nemo and his new tank friends hatch a plan to escape from their new home.

SHREK (2001)
(PG for mild language and some crude humor; ok for kids 7+). In a faraway land called Duloc, a heartless ruler, the diminutive Lord Farquaad, has banished all the fairy tale beings from the land so it can be as boring as he is. But there are three characters who will stand in his way. The first is a green, smelly ogre with a heart of gold named Shrek, his faithful steed, Donkey, who will do anything but shut up, and the beautiful but tough Princess Fiona whom Lord Farquaad wishes to make his wife so he can become king of Duloc. What’s to do in a screwy fairy tale like this?

NATIONAL TREASURE (2004)
(PG for action violence and some scary images; ok for kids 8+). Ben Gates comes from a family of treasure hunters. Now his grandfather believes that the forefathers’ buried a treasure somewhere in the country and have placed clues everywhere but unfortunately the clues are highly cryptic and scaterred all over the place. Now Ben thinks he has found it but it only leads him to another clue which is on the back of the Declaration of Independence. Now one of his associates Ian wants to steal it so that they could get the clue but Ben refuses to do it so he tries to kill Ben. But Ben evades him and tries to warn the authorities about Ian’s plans but they don’t believe him. So Ben takes it upon himself to steal it in order to protect it. And he does but Abigail Chase the curator of the National Archives, where it is kept, discovers what he has done and tries to stop him but gets caught in the crossfire between Ben and Ian, so Ben takes her with him. While she doesdn’t believe him, he is determined to prove he is right about the treasure. But it won’t be easy cause Ian’s always a step behind him and he is being hunted by the FBI.

MEET THE ROBINSONS (2007)
(G; ok for kids 5+). Twelve-year-old Lewis (voiced by Daniel Hansen) has spent most of his life in an orphanage, hoping to impress potential parents with his brilliant (but wildly unpredictable) inventions. His latest is the Memory Scanner, a gadget he hopes will help find his birth mother so they can become a family. At a science fair, the invention attracts the attention of the mysterious Bowler Hat Guy (Stephen J. Anderson), who plans to use it for his own secret purposes.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD’S END (2007)
(PG-13 for intense sequences of action/adventure violence and some frightening images; ok for kids 13+). Elizabeth, Will and the crew of the Pearl sail off the edge of the map (literally) with the help of mysterious Tia Dalma and the late Captain Barbossa who has been raised by the dead to save Captain Jack Sparrow . He has been condemned to the terrible fate of remaining in the void of Davey Jones’ locker for eternity. But rescuing Jack isn’t the real meat of this movie – Lord Cutler Beckett has control of the heart of Davey Jones, and with that he controls the sea. The nine pirate lords of the world must unite for a final stand against Beckett, Jones and the East India Trade company.

Based on the classic girl detective created by Carolyn Keene in the 1930’s, Nancy Drew (Emma Roberts) is a curious teen who loves solving “mysteries” about her neighbors. But when she travels to Los Angeles with her father (Tate Donovan), the sweet sleuth finds herself smack dab in a real case involving the death of a Hollywood
starlet.
