There are two common types of grand pianos, the standard is larger and requires a fair amount of space to house. The baby grand is similar in style but is considerably smaller and therefore fits slightly more easily into a house, although a large room is still needed for acoustic reasons.
There is a wealth of music available for performance on this instrument. For centuries composers like Beethoven and Bach have been creating pieces designed to highlight the beauty of the piece. Today the instrument is at home in both a classical situation and a more modern band.
