2. The systems can provide an escape from everyday life. Children think that they will be able to achieve some amazing feats that are probably not much more than wishful thinking. The truth eventually hits us that we are not destined to fulfill all of our childhood fantasies because something called real life stands in the way. The gaming systems can turn us back into the start athlete or the amazing soldier with just a few clicks of a button. It can bring the things that we want to do back to life.
3. Gaming can be like taking drugs. Young and old people alike can enjoy the addictive nature that comes from gaming. Grown ups sometimes forget how exciting that feeling used to be. The excitement that comes from the gaming systems can be similar to the excitement that we were able to create as a youngster. And it is not illegal to do. It is also not as dangerous to the body.
4. Gaming is distracting. It is not fun to always deal with the day to day grind. You can escape from the normal routine if you turn on the system. Video games provide a person with a way to put their responsibilities away for awhile and to delve into their fantasies. If a person wants they can completely immerse themselves into gaming. Let someone else deal with the other problems for a period of time.
5. Video consoles are not as expensive as people think. Going out as a family is expensive and can be very time consuming and although not everyone can figure our xbox 360 kinect, the actual cost of the consoles and the games to play on them is much less than a person spends taking the family to a football game or out to the movies every month when you consider the years of entertainment that you get out of the consoles especially with today’s systems that do much more than play games and can actually replace a lot of equipment that many people need in their home anyway.
