The Messengers 2: The Scarecrow
The Messengers 2: The Scarecrow is story of Rollins family, who lived far away in a village in the suburbs far from the city. Like most rural families, Rollins family has a corn plantation.
Rollins family misery turned into prosperity. All happen because of scarecrow statue. But Rollins prosperity had to be paid by horrible incident.
But Rollins family peace was turned into misery when long dry season come and seem have no end. So as the impact, Rollins family had to work hard to keep their corn garden stay productive. Unfortunately, suddenly the irrigation machine was broke plus the crows often attack Rollins corn garden.
When life pressure for Rollins family becoming harder, accidentally John Rollins as the head of Rollins family found a scarecrow stored in his corn barn. Rollins family who feel desperate with crow problems directly intended to put scarecrow in their cornfield. But the youngest son of John, Michael does not like the scarecrow. Michael feeling scared so he asked John to get rid of the scarecrow.
John did not have many choices. Moreover, he was cornered on his family life. John was finally located in between two difficult choices: to let or sell his farm to pay off his debts, or install the scarecrow that able to drive the crows away from his corn garden.
Finally John decides to put the scarecrow on his corn garden. As the result, the next morning after scarecrows installed, John find all the crows in his cornfield area are die.
When he was collecting the dead birds, John found money around his corn garden and an expensive watch belonged to his friend, Randy who is the day before it, Randy was coming to collect debt.
When John got home, Mary, his wife, told him that Randy had died because of a truck pulled him when he try to seal John’s farm.
Strange incident that happen eventually continued with other strange incident. But John did not care about it because he feels his life is getting better.
John life becomes prosperous. He did not even realize that his relationship with his whole family getting worst.
